Cultural extravaganza marks Teeja- Pora celebration in CM house
Raipur: Cultural extravaganza marked the celebration of Teeja Pora at the official residence of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel yesterday. Enjoying every moment of the celebration, the Chief Minister also looked in a fun-mood in the grand function of Teeja Pora. On this occasion, he sang some of the traditional Chhattisgarhi songs like.. ‘Ae Chana Ke Daar Raja…’ and ‘Ae Raipur Wale Bhato…’ from the stage. Earlier, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the people of the state by worshipping Lord Shiva and Nandishwar with the family at Pora-Teeja Tihar organized at his residence. While congratulating and wishing the people of Pola Tihar, the symbol of farming and Chhattisgarhi culture, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel said that Chhattisgarh should be full of wealth and our livestock should remain helpful in our progress.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel also felicitated all the guests. He said that Teeja-Pora is a festival of farming and daughter-in-law. I welcome you all. In the celebration of Teeja-Pora, the famous folk singer of Chhattisgarh and the Vice Chancellor of Khairagarh University Mamata Chandrakar also joined the celebration in the CM House. She sang her famous folk song ‘Tor Man Kise Lage Raja’. CM Bhupesh Baghel and his sisters also joined and enjoyed this song.
Special arrangements had been made at the CM House in Raipur to celebrate the traditional festival. Local rural games were also held on t his occasion. This was followed by the performance of local folk artists and dancers, which enthralled the audience.
